Job Description

The Charter Boat Captain personnel is a qualified and authorized employee that operates vessels under direction from the Marina Manager. This role may also be referred to as Maritime Operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate vessels for relocation, haulage, repair, tow, passenger movement or other miscellaneous operationsEnsure passenger safety and provide customer serviceAssist in and/or conduct vessel operations and maintenance as directed by the Marina ManagerMonitor daily progress of the vessel, observing speed, engine pressure and water depths, and signaling any passing vesselsAvailable to work overtime, weekends and holidays when required Safety and Environmental Responsibilities Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training.Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area.Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately.
