We are seeking a motivated and skilled Landscape/Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who excels in advanced landscaping and groundskeeping tasks, with the ability to operate mechanical and electrical equipment. As a Landscape/Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will:

1. Perform advanced landscaping and ground maintenance tasks, including using all types of pesticides, pruning various plants, planting and transplanting plant material, turf seeding and sodding, fertilizing, and irrigating

2. Handle miscellaneous seasonal groundskeeping chores

3. Operate mechanical and electrical equipment, such as lawn mowers and weed-eaters

4. Report to work immediately and be flexible to work at various locations throughout the County, which may not always be accessible by bus lines

5. Ensure that contractor’s insurance covers transportation to work sites by County personnel

Qualifications:

1. 1-3 years of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance

2. Proficiency in using pesticides and operating landscaping equipment

3. Strong knowledge of plant care, turf management, and irrigation techniques

4. Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks

5. Flexibility to work in various locations within the County

6. Good communication and teamwork skills
