Podiatrist

Sun River Heath is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a Podiatrist to support our Amenia location.
In collaboration with the entire medical staff, the Podiatrist will provide primary podiatric care to outpatient clients. He/she will be instrumental in providing health education, avoidance, and early detection; under the guidance of the Chief Clinical agent and Chief Nursing/Operating agent.
Job Competencies:

»Diagnose disorders of the feet and ankles such as bunions, calluses, corns, fungal infection of the skin or nails, ankle pronation, gait abnormalities, heel spurs, arch deformities and ingrown toenails.

»Diabetic foot care such as nail trims, callus removal, peripheral neuropathy testing, skin ulcer treatment and amputation.

»Make foot casts for custom orthotics.

»Prescribe corrective shoes and braces to treat gait and balance issues.

»Consult with patients about preventative foot care.

»Refer patients to other medical specialists if symptoms suggest severe illnesses such as diabetes, heart or kidney disease.
Licenses and Certifications: Podiatrist , Board Certified - required
suitable education Doctorate Degree (including MD, DO, DD, PhD, etc.) - required , Major in Podiatry
Annual income: $80.00 -$90.00/hour
