Job Description
We are seeking a part time detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be the engine behind our payment cycle, ensuring that vendors are paid accurately and on time while maintaining pristine financial records. The ideal candidate balances speed with extreme accuracy and possesses a solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
salary: $22 - $25 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 10 AM - 5 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities
- Process, code, and upload a high volume of invoices into the accounting system with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare and execute weekly payment runs (ACH, Wire, Check) and manage aging reports to ensure no payments are missed
- Maintain up-to-date vendor files (W-9s, banking info) and provide world-class service when resolving billing discrepancies
- Assist the senior accounting team with reconciliations, 1099 processing, and ensuring all expenses are captured for the period
- Help maintain a digital filing system and suggest ways to automate or improve the document indexing process
