Job Description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for USA-based voice actors with native American English accents and strong experience in professional voice recording, narration, dubbing, podcasting, broadcasting, or related spoken-audio work.

This role supports an exciting collaboration with a leading AI research laboratory focused on building next-generation text-to-speech (TTS) systems capable of producing natural, expressive, and human-like voices.

Selected professionals will contribute high-quality voice recordings across a range of script types, help support the training and evaluation of advanced speech models, and provide expressive, consistent, and technically clean audio that improves the realism and performance of cutting-edge AI voice systems.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Voice Recording & Delivery
Record high-quality voice samples across diverse scripts including conversational, narrative, and instructional material
Deliver clear, natural, and expressive speech with strong control over tone, pacing, and pronunciation
Maintain consistency in voice, accent, and delivery across multiple recording sessions

Recording Quality & Technical Execution
Follow detailed recording guidelines related to environment, microphone setup, and file formatting
Perform multiple takes with variation in emotion, emphasis, and style when required
Review and self-QA recordings to ensure minimal background noise, clipping, or audio artifacts

Collaboration & Model Support
Collaborate with project teams to refine delivery based on model training needs
Help produce expressive speech data that supports the development of natural and human-like AI voice systems
Apply voice performance expertise across structured recording and evaluation workflows

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:
Native American English fluency and current residence in the United States
Proven experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, broadcasting, or related voice-based work
Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup, including a quality microphone and quiet environment
Strong command of intonation, diction, pronunciation, and emotional range
Ability to follow scripts precisely while maintaining natural and engaging delivery
Reliable availability for 10–20 hours per week over the project duration

Preferred qualifications

Experience recording for TTS systems, audiobooks, IVR systems, or AI voice datasets
Familiarity with audio editing tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper
Ability to deliver multiple vocal styles such as conversational, corporate, energetic, or calm

Contract Details
